Cloud and patchy rain and drizzle north and eastern England, drier north and south

Cloud and outbreaks of rain across parts of northern and eastern England with murky conditions here. Brighter in the south and southwest of England and Ireland, some isolated showers developing. Drier too in Scotland with good spells of sunshine in the north.

This afternoon sees the rain band and murk slipping south through parts of the Midlands and eastern England. Fair with sunny spells in southern and southwest England and southern Wales. Bright too in southern Ireland, some showers in the west. Bright for Scotland with more sunny spells here.

A further area of cloud and some outbreaks of rain moving through northern England and the far south of Scotland. Drier with some clear spells in central and northern Scotland. Clearer skies over parts of the Midlands and southern England, Wales and southern Ireland.
